Unique Gift Idea: Engraved Wooden Watch

It's almost June can you believe that!? After all the exams and stressful weeks I can now see the summer holiday has officially started. I'm really looking forward to starting a new chapter in my life, going to university, meeting new people and see what the future holds. Summer holiday also means more blogging! For today I would love to show you something very cool. Want to know what I'm talking about, read further now!

Creative Use of Technology is a creative company run by three people. Their different backgrounds of architecture and city building introduced them to 3D printing. All the unique qualities combined made the perfect team with endless possibilities that the technologies could bring. From this point on the company was born in 2012, a creative company that lets the customer be creative as well. On their webshop you can find all things wooden, you name it they have it. From wooden lamps, to necklace, to watches and even wooden phone cases. 

I was lucky enough to receive a wooden handcrafted watch. I choose a brown leather strap, but there are also watches completely from wood or in colors like blue and black and all 100% natural. The wooden watches are made from bamboo and come in two different sizes, 43 mm and 36 mm. Both watch sizes are for men and women. The part that really made the watch special to me was that I engraved it. It's custom made and you can choose your own font, size and can even add a cute heart of other symbols you would like to have added. There are so many possibilities and fun quotes to add to the watch. After searching on Google and Tumblr I came across the quote: 'It's Time To Shine.' It's the perfect quote and I really like it. Sometimes it can be challenging to find a gift for someone that's different. A wooden watch is a great gift for your friend, yourself or your loved one to make them feel extra special. It's an affordable and unique gift you'll love for sure! 

I absolutely love my new watch and I'm happy I discovered this company! I never thought I would like a wooden watch but this company showed me the opposite. Ithe watch is really light, and easy to wear and I'll never be late again! Because wood is a very natural shade you can wear your watch with almost every outfit. With the right accessoires you can transform your outfit from your look from casual to glam for a night out. I would love to add more wooden items to my collection. Summer Hurry Up Please!

Hey everyone,

Summer is my favorite season of the year. Bonfires, sand between my toes, warm weather and not to forget wearing cute summer outfits are all things that make summer the best time of the year. You can never be too early to start shopping for some summer outfits and in my recent post I showed you all my Zara must haves. If you haven't seen it yet you can check it out here. Brands that I really like right now are the fast forward and budget friendly brands. Especially Zara has a great collection and variety of items that you can always find something different and unique. 

Recently I discovered a new brand called Costes. I can't remember anymore how I found out about it, but I think while on a trip somewhere in Holland and saw a shop from Costes.  It's a Dutch fashion brand but are currently expanding and are soon opening a new store in Antwerp. You can find anything from sandals, to date night outfits to jewelry. 

In July I'm going on a family trip to Sardinia in Italy and of course going on vacation means going in style. A bikini is definitely a must have for every beach lover just like me. It's quite difficult too find one that fits good and is right for your body type as well. Most times when you're not looking to buy something you find something. I was looking on the webshop of Costes and came across a very cute pineapple bikini. The bright yellow is perfect for summer and the pattern makes me think of somewhere tropical. Bright colors are really in this summer and with a tan the bikini will look even better! I was in doubt wether to buy the top and bottom both in a small it luckily I bought the bottom in a medium. It fits quite small so I think I could even fit into a large, I just don't need to eat to much pizza haha. Last year I can remember I bought my bikini at Sam Friday, it's a lingerie brand just like Gilly Hicks and the bikini was in grey and light blue. Although I love those shades too, I wanted to try something new and bright this year.

I really like the thin straps and the t-strap makes your legs look longer too which is a big plus.

Time flies and before you know it you'll be heading of to the beach in your cute summer outfit. As summer is just around the corner sandals can't be forgotten. For the beach sandals are perfect to keep you cool. Lately I'm really into the scrappy sandals or the gladiator look kind of shoes that you can tie up. FSJ shoes has a lot of trendy sandals that you can wear not only to the beach, but also in combination with a pair of skinny jeans for a casual look. Even for a date night sandals are a must have and give you a summery look. The first pair that I really like are the black open toe strappy sandals. They are comfortable and easy to wear when you're on vacation and look cute with almost any summer outfit. The next pair remind me of Minnie Mouse and are so cute as well! They are black and white polka dot sandals and the big bow really stands out. With these sandals the rest of your outfit can be simple and classic.

Movies You Should Watch For The Best Girls Night In

When I'm tired after a long and busy day, watching a movie is my favorite thing to do. It's a good way to forget everything around you for a minute and live in another world. My absolute all time favorite movie has to be Beauty and the Beast which released this year and got amazing reviews. Emma Watson plays Belle really well and it's almost like a musical with all the songs. Also la la land was really cool too! Read further for the best chick flicks of all time you can watch to have the best girls night in!

Choosing a movie can be difficult because there are just endless options you can choose from. Safe Heaven - This movie was very fun to watch and I can really recommend it if you love romance but also a little bit of drama and scary moments. It's about a young woman named Katie who visits North Carolina and starts a relationship with Alex and with her neighbor Jo. 

Me Before You - I've heard so many good things about this movie. I did hear the soundtrack and it was really beautiful!  The story revolves about a girl from a small town who develops an unique bond with a paralyzed man which she also takes care of. A fun fact: Emilia Clarke plays the girl in this movie but she also got offered to play Anastasia Steel in Fifthy Shades of Grey but turned it down. 

The Ugly Truth - Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler played the roles very well. If you want some romance and want to laugh at the funny moments with your friends than this movies is perfect to watch. It all starts with a morning show producer who wants to prove his theories on relationships on a correspondent. This leads to something special between the two and is the start of many funny moments coming ahead. Definitely a movie to put on your girls movie list!

Musthave Alert: Samsung Galaxy S8

Hoi allemaal!

Het is gelukkig weer iets warmer dan vorige week. De lente is echt mijn favoriete seizoen, overal mooie bloemen, de zon schijnt vaker en dat is meteen een goed excuus om je kledingkast aan te vullen met nieuwe items. Naast shoppen voor leuke kleding zijn leuke gadgets en elektronica natuurlijk altijd welkom. Van polaroid camera's tot iPads eigenlijk kan je het zo gek niet bedenken tegenwoordig. Maar ik moet toch zeggen dat een merk mijn nummer een is, Samsung. Samsung heeft altijd mooie designs en een goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. In maart werd de nieuwe Samsung Galaxy S8 uitgebracht en staat nu bovenaan op mijn verlanglijstje. Lees gauw verder waarom jij ook de Galaxy S8 moet kopen!

Het mobiel wat ik nu heb is een Samsung Galaxy s6 edge plus gold en daar ben ik heel blij mee. Het besturingssysteem vind ik fijner dan Apple en het maakt mooie foto's en video's. Natuurlijk is elk mobiel weer mooier en sneller dat nieuw op de markt gebracht wordt. De Samsung telefoon is los voor 799 euro te koop en is ook verkrijgbaar in S8+. De kleuren waar je uit kunt kiezen zijn Midnight Black, Orchid Grey en Arctic Silver. Zelf vind ik de Orchid Grey super mooi! Vanaf 28 april ligt het toestel in de winkels en online. Bij T-Mobile kun je een abonnement nemen voor 5 GB data en onbeperkt bellen in Nederland en Europa. 

COOLE  FEATURES VAN DE SAMSUNG GALAXY S8

HET SCHERM

Het scherm van de Galaxy S8 is groter en alleen aan de bovenkant zit de camera met sensoren. Het Infinity Display van 5,8 inch zorgt ervoor dat er geen zwarte balken meer onder en boven zijn wat erg fijn is. Hierdoor zit de vingerafdrukscanner niet meer aan de voorkant maar aan de achterkant en is de home knop verdwenen. De hele voorkant is scherm en dit design maakt het toestel uniek en mooi. Geen enkel mobiel heeft een scherm dat zo groot is en comfortabel in je hand is. De telefoon heeft een Super AMOLED display scherm waardoor de kleuren nog feller zijn en je video's nu nog scherper kunt kijken. 

SUPER SNEL

De nieuwe Samsung is naast de mooie kleuren en contrasten ook nog eens super snel. Dit vind ik toch wel heel belangrijk bij het uitkiezen van een smartphone. Ik heb wel eens een mobiel gehad die vanaf het begin af aan al best traag werkte en daar ga je je toch een beetje aan ergeren. Maar dat is verleden tijd met de S8 natuurlijk die geleverd wordt met de nieuwste processor en veel werkgeheugen. 

MULTITASKEN

Tegenwoordig wil iedereen zo veel mogelijk dingen doen in een korte tijd. Het nieuwe design helpt hier een handje bij. Er kunnen veel vensters tegelijk geopend worden en je kunt zelfs de grote van het venster aanpassen. Zo kun whatsappen en naar je favoriete serie kijken, op internet surfen en je boodschappenlijst maken. Meer doen en minder scrollen!

Met de nieuwe Samsung S8 zul je je nooit vervelen. Met de dual pixel camera die nu ook een autofocus heeft en een gezichtsherkenning, maak je snel super scherpe selfies. Verder heeft de smartphone zelfs een irisscanner, een bixby spraakassist voor jou vragen en reminders en is het toestel water-en stof bestendig.

Zara Shopping Haul Spring/Summer 2017

Hey everyone,

I hope everyone has had a great Easter! I've had a lovely family brunch with and went on an easter egg hunt with my two little nieces. I can't believe how cold it suddenly got here in Holland, I might have to grab my winter coat from upstairs again. Shopping is one the things that I think most girls love to do, I'm definitely one of them. This summer I'm going on vacation to Sardinia in Italy and I had absolutely no summer clothes. It was the perfect excuse to go on a shopping spree in Haarlem. Let's get right to it now!

FRILLEND POPLIN DRESS

Zara is my favorite clothing brand at the moment. They always have a good variety of different styles and items every week. Bright pink is very popular this summer, and I really love pink so I picked this dress. It's a friend poplin dress with short sleeves. There's nothing that I don't like about it and it would be perfect to wear for a night out but also to the beach with a pair of sandals. €17,95

RIBBED JUMPSUIT

The next item that I got is actually my favorite. It really feels like you're wearing a pyjama but looks very cool. It's a ribbed jumpsuit in light grey marl and it's just above your ankles. On some days you maybe not feel like wearing a dress, a jumpsuit is in between and it still looks like you but effort in your look. It would look nice with a statement necklace or a bright colored tote or purse. €17,95

STRIPED DRESS

I love this dress so much! I've never really had a maxi dress before and this one is great for the hot and sunny days on vacation. It's a striped dress in burgundy and cream white. To make the look complete I'm going to look for a pair of platform sandals or sneakers and a bright red lip. €19,95

EMBROIDERED STRIPED DRESS

Flowers details are also very trendy this season. You see it everywhere, on shirts, jeans, bags and on dresses. This trend really suits Spring and makes you happy. This is a baby blue stripes dress with a v-neck and with very cute flowers on top. The dress feels very light and is also a must have for hot days. Because of all the different colored flowers it's easy to combine it with any color you want. Maybe pink necklace, or a bright yellow bracelet you can style it how you want. €29,95
