What I got for Christmas // Present haul

Hey everyone,

I hope you've had an amazing Christmas! I spend the entire day with my family we had a great time together. I love these kinds of moments when everybody is appreciated a little bit more. 2016 wasn't really my year. Let's hope 2017 will be a great year for everybody with lots of fun moments and where wishes come true. Let's go onto my Christmas present haul now!

Hollister skinny jeans

First I got three pairs of Hollister skinny jeans. Hollister is my favorite clothing brand at the moment. They always have very cute items made from great quality. The jeans fit really well and are really comfortable. I got the jeans in three different shades. The lighter shade is more for Spring and the darker ones are perfect for now. 

Lace dress

My next gift is a lace dress from Intimmisimi. Intimmisimi is an Italian clothing and lingerie brand. Everytime I go to Rome this shop is the first stop. I buy mostly practical items like tank tops and t-shirts or pyjamas. I didn't really know they also had party dresses. This dress is so cute and I love the short sleeves, basically everything is perfect about it! It's really a different dress from all the other party dresses I've seen on ASOS or at Pull&Bear. It's a great brand and you should definitely take a look at it! 

Sparkly tights

I think Santa was a little bit in a sparkly and festive mood because I also got a few tights with a very cute festive pattern, also from Intimissimi. I think I'll wear them in combination with a plain black skirt or a little black dress and a pair of black heels. 

Leather belt

This is a belt from the brand Legend. It's a brand with all kinds of leather accessories and I think they also sell bags but I'm not sure. This belt has a really tomboysich look and the rhinestones make the belt look really cool. It's a brand I've heard of before but I've never really tried anything from it.

Body lotion

My last present is a body lotion from Burt's Bees. I love the name of the brand, it sound really fun and cute! I actually saw a range of body lotion at my local drug store though the scents were really nice. I got the body lotion with milk and honey and it's so good!

Blogmas: Red velvet party dress

Hey everyone,

It's almost Christmas! I've just finished doing some last minute Christmas shopping for my family. We always have the tradition to eat fondue on Christmas every year. Fondue is basically making your own meat and with a lot of sauces, bread and different kinds of vegetables. It's kind of like a barbecue but than at your dinner table. I always love  of the year where all my family comes together and really spends time with each other. Today I would love to share a party dress that I'm going to wear at my Christmas party. RED VELVET PARTY DRESS

Christmas is the time of the year to wear your favorite party outfit. It can be a dress, a crop top and skirtor a suit. The possibilities are endless and really anything is possible.  When you go to a party the first exciting thing is to see what everyone is wearing. Everybody tries to look their best in their glamorous outfits. A party is also a great excuse to go on a shopping spree. This year I've noticed that I my own clothing style is changing a little bit. Before I really liked the classic and basic clothes, and now it's a bit more outgoing. I enjoy creating new looks with cool patterns but still keep my look classy. For my Christmas party I'm going to wear this velvet red dress. It's from the brand called Rosegal. Rosegal is an online fashion store with thousands of new arrivals daily. They offer free international shipping and have many different kinds of styles, from preppy to chic they have it all. I really like the fit of the dress. It's a mini dress and is just above the knee. It has really cool details like the cut outs on the side with a shoe lace. Velvet is one of my favorite materials for party dresses. It makes me feel really festive and it's also perfect for the winter season.

Blogmas: Makeup look with a pop of red

Hey everyone,

Christmas is coming closer and closer. Can you believe that 2017 is less than two weeks away!? I'm looking forward at all the new experiences and adventures it will bring me. It's the year of my graduation, going to University and traveling abroad by myself. It all sounds very cool put scary at the same time. Can't wait to see what the future holds.Today I would love to share a festive makeup look with a pop of red. Let's get started! 

Red is one of my favorite colors when it comes to makeup. There are so many different kinds of shades in red, from the more darker tones to a brighter red. This makeup look has a more bright red in it. It's not until recently that I started experiencing with different kinds of colors. Before my makeup was very simple and basic with only some mascara and some bb cream. Now I really love choosing different colors and exploring different kinds of makeup looks but still keeping it simple and classic. 

1. My first item is my Collistar Twist lipgloss. The lipgloss is kind of a combination between a normal lipgloss and a lipstick. The color is a bright red and is perfect to wear for a night out or for a special occasion. I love that the lipgloss stays for quite a long time and I always put a lip oil on top because my lips get dry very quickly. Collistar is my favorite makeup brand because they always have great quality products, but they are quite pricey. I bought it for 15 euros. The lipgloss is in shade 208 ciliegia. 

2. I got this Opi nail polish as a birthday present from a friend and I love it very much! The color is bright and really cute for daily wear and makes your look complete. Opi is a great nail polish brand and I'm sure you have heard of this brand before. For me it's not really important to choose a brand but it's more about the colors a brand has and how long it stays. The Opi the nail polish is very strong, even after a few days. When it doesn't look good anymore it's fixed with an easy touch up so I don't have to remove the nail polish completely. I got it for 10 euros and it in shade vodka & caviar. 

3. My last makeup item to make the festive look complete is a mascara. It's the Maybelline false lash wings intenza mascara. It's again a great product to use and it really give your lashes a boost. They look a little bit fuller and longer and it looks also great in combination with an eyeliner. Some mascaras that I've used before were quite sticky and this one luckily doesn't have that at all. It's easy to apply and easy to remove as well. I got it for around 5 euros.

Usually I wear dresses more often than skirts but now that I see how cute it can look I'm definitely going to wear them more often.

Jumpsuits are one of my favorite items when it comes to fashion. They are comfortable, available in any size or pattern and really cute for a night out or to wear daily. A jumpsuit is definitely the number one item on my wishlist. Sometimes it can be difficult to choose the right jumpsuit because their are just so many possibilities. 1 THE PERFECT FIT

Finding a jumpsuit that in the right size is a must for looking good in what you wear. The jumpsuit doesn't have to be too loose or to tight. A jumpsuit that's too tight might not give you the look you want. When it's too loose you can't see your figure anymore. 

2 ADD A BLAZER

A blazer is never wrong. It's a basic item that every girl needs to have in her closet, summer and winter. It's really easy to combine your jumpsuit with a blazer and it immediately looks like you made an effort to dress up but it doesn't look over the top. The first jumpsuit is very vintage looking. The rose gold color is perfect for Christmas or to wear at a party. Blogmas: Favorite Festive Films

Hey everyone,

It's December, a month with a lot of cool and exciting things happening! Looking back on this year, I remember the day it was the 1st of January and thought this year is going to go by very quickly. December is the month of baking my favorite Christmas cookies, going to London and of ice skating. Although I'm not really a fan of cold weather, Christmas break is definitely my favorite holiday. Christmas is a time where all my family members are together in one place and spend time with each other. In our busy lives we often get so caught up in our own world that you almost forget how fast time goes by. That's why Christmas is so nice and all the decorations and pretty Christmas trees make it even better. Around November I always start watching Christmas movies. They're just so fun to watch and it's also really relaxing. Under your cozy blanket, a cup of coffee and with a bowl of popcorn. Hey everyone,

It´s starting to look a lot like winter! The weather in Holland is really cold at the moment. It´s cold, sunny and without any wind. It´s the perfect winter weather for a long walk on the beach, iceskating or playing tennis. I still need to buy a warm hat and a pair of gloves for these cold days. A quick life update: this week has gone by pretty quickly. On November 23thrd I turned 19 and left school early because of my birthday. It was a fun day and my family and friends definitely made my day perfect. I received a few things from Pandora, Hollister and on top of that I got my first car! Let me know in the comments if you would like me to do a birthday haul. This friday I went on a test study day at the Univeristy of Leiden to see if law was really something I liked. It ended up to be very cool and I think it will really be something I see myself doing next year. Read further for a sweater weather shopping guide and my favorite sweater from Dresslily. Sweaters are really a winter must have in every girl's wardrobe. They are comfortable and warm. Personally I like sweaters that are made from wool better than cotton sweaters. Just because they are warmer and perfect for cold days.

1. Choose your style                                                                                                               A sweater can soon look too casual, especially for the fashionista' s under us. It's all about choosing the right style, patterns and materials. Nowadays there are so many different kinds of sweaters. There are cropped sweaters, cable knit sweaters or v-neck sweaters. It's really about choosing your own style that's suits your personality. 

2. Better too big than too small                                 

When I go to a store and ask for advice they almost always give me a size small. Especially when I was in Rome at the Twin-Set store. I ended up trying a sweater she thought would fit but actually was two size too small haha. Try buying your sweater not too small, not only because it doesn't look good. Also because you have to feel comfortable in it too. 

                                

3. Material matters                                                  

What I find is that a lot of the cheaper brands like Forever 21 and H&M have sweaters that are made from acrylic material. I don't really like this material because it doesn't keep you very warm. The more expensive brands in general have better materials like 100% wool or cotton. It's important to look at the materials before buying a sweater. You don't want to feel itchy on Christmas Day! 

My favorite sweater is from the brand called Dresslily. Dresslily is an online store where you can get party outfits, winter accessories and all at an affordable price. They also offer free worldwide shipping and have thousands of new products everyday. This sweater is perfect for cold winter days. It looks nice in combination with a pair of skinny jeans, booties and some cute accessories to make the outfit complete. I even think it's a cool sweater to wear for Christmas. The rhinestones and the white makes it look very wintery.
