A Cozy & Stylish Christmas Gift Idea For Him

It's almost Christmas!! Time has flown by this year, and I kind of have to admit that this year hasn't been one of my best years. I'm super ready for 2019 to start, with new chances and building new memories using all the life lessons I learned so far. But first Christmas of course! I always love buying gifts for my family and friends. Even if they're small, it's the gesture of appreciation that matters most. (Although big gifts are always welcome;) Maybe you're just like me and always end up doing your Christmas shopping the day before. It's actually not that big of a deal, because most things are on sale by then. If you're looking to buy a last minute gift for your boyfriend, brother or father, read further now for something comfy he'll love!

For women,  it's a lot easier to buy a gift. From lipsticks to spa days, to cute necklaces and heels. There's a lot you can buy that will be cute to give and she'll be happy to receive. For men, it's a bit different. I think in general, men are not that picky as women when it comes to gifts. But, they do like cute things just as much! I came across this website where they have lots of nice clothes and gift boxes for men. You can find there nice shirts, socks, boxers and much more. 

I received a gift box with 4 pairs of Tommy Hilfiger socks. The socks are in cute and colorful patterns, and I think perfect for any guy during Winter to stay warm. The socks are knie length and the stripes are my favorite pattern haha. I think I would actually even wear them when I'm having a lazy day at home haha. Tommy Hilfiger is quite expensive, but the quality is really good. I can remember one time I bought socks at the Primark, and after washing them once, they were a size too small. Sometimes that happens with cheaper brands, not all of them though. Socks at H&M are comfortable and from good quality too. For guys and men it's cute to wear the Tommy socks even in combination with a black tie or any suit for the festive days. It kind of adds a pop of color to it.

Toffe Muurdecoratie Voor In Je Kamer

Tegenwoordig is het super makkelijk om het vliegtuig te pakken. Voor je het weet zit je in Rome aan een stuk pizza, of ben je misschien wel in Bali aan het genieten van zon, zee en strand. Er zijn nog zoveel steden die ik zou willen bezoeken, van San Fransisco, tot Vancouver to Hong Kong. Het liefst zou ik na mijn studie een wereldreis maken van een jaar, hoe cool is dat?! Als je net zo'n reisliefhebber bent als ik, dan kan je dat natuurlijk laten terugkomen in je interieur of met leuke decoraties in je woon - en slaapkamer. Ik heb toevallig gisteren gehoord dat ik een kamer heb in Den Haag, super fijn! Het leukste vind ik altijd het zoeken naar leuke spulletjes en decoraties, het perfecte excuus om te gaan winkelen. Het handigste vind ik altijd dat je eerst een kamer moet zien, de grootte etc. en dan goed kan inschatten wat voor look of vibe je aan je kamer wil geven. Omdat ik zoveel van reizen houd leek het mij een tof idee om een wereldkaart in mijn nieuwe kamer te hangen. Short Hair Wigs

Winter Escape // Fashion Packing Essentials You Can't Forgot

I have to be honest, I'm just not a very big fan of Winter. The cold, dark and rainy days are not for me haha. I do love the period around Christmas with all the pretty lights and decorations, getting you really into that festive mood. Maybe you are just like me and are more a Spring and Summer kind of person and want to escape from the cold for a few days. I've been thinking about a few perfect summer proof destinations. Curacao, Miami, Brisbane, Cape Verde and many more. With planning a trip also comes the packing part, my favorite one!! Like every woman, I always bring too many things and only end up wearing half of it. Then returning with two suitcases because I bought new clothes there.. Just in case the weather changes it's always a good idea to bring clothes for the rain. In tropical places, the rain usually comes out of nowhere and a lot at once. Home Is Where The Heart Is

Happy Monday!! The start of a new week with new chances! It's so cold here in the Netherlands that I just want to stay cozy and warm under a blanket and watch Netflix with a big cup of tea and chips. Doesn't that sound perfect?! Your room should be a place where you can hide from everyone once in a while (let's be honest, we all have those kinds of moments haha), or a place where you can relax, study and most importantly feel at home in. I recently heard that I got a room in my university town, so I need to start packing lots of things and look for cute decorations. For winter, besides the practical part of the room, a dorm room should be cozy. Adding floor pillows, blankets, and other stuff. I always love decorating my bed, with pillows and throws. Silk Bedding Set

I don't know why, but silver reminds me of the Christmas and Winter period. It's a festive color and adds that extra sparkle to your room. I came across this bedding set and absolutely love it!! It's great both for people who get it warm or cold easily because the silk actually regulates your body temperature in every season. Valencia, I'm Ready For Take Off

Over een maand is het gewoon al kerst! Kan jij dat geloven?! De periode voor de kerst vind ik stiekem eigenlijk het leukst. Het wordt steeds vroeger donker, lekker binnen zitten met een kop thee en Netflix en de open haard aansteken zijn mijn favoriete dingen om te doen in de winter. Dit afgelopen jaar is voorbij geloven, mede doordat ik een tussenjaar genomen had en heel veel gereisd heb. De stad die ik uiteindelijk het allerleukst vond en nog steeds vind is Valencia. De sfeer, de mensen, de vrolijke muziek en alles trekt mij heel erg aan! Ik ben er dit jaar rond april op taalreis geweest en daarna in de zomer nog een keertje met mijn familie. (ik was de tour guide;) Lees gauw verder waarom jouw volgende citytrip naar Valencia moet zijn! 

Bij het beslissen van een bestemming voor een citytrip vind ik het belangrijk dat je niet super ver hoeft te reizen. De afgelopen keren ben ik naar Valencia gegaan met Transavia, de reistijd is rond de 2.5 uur, zeker te doen. Ik vind zelf Transavia een fijne en betrouwbare maatschappij voor de kleinere afstanden.

Strand & Stad 

De stranden in Valencia zijn echt super mooi en groot! Als ik er ben dan doet het mij altijd denken aan Miami Beach, beetje vergelijkbaar. Je hebt in Valencia bijvoorbeeld Playa Malvarossa, een strand perfect voor watersportliefhebbers. Je kunt er surfen, kanoën, waterfietsen en nog veel meer. Zelf heb ik gewindsurfd, ik probeerde eerst te golfsurfen, maar daar was ik niet echt goed in haha.. Het voordeel is, is dat het er bijna altijd waait. Vooral in de zomer is dat fijn zodat het niet te heet aanvoelt. En daarnaast heb je vlakbij het strand ook het centrum, met leuke winkels, terrasjes en markten. Ruzafa is zeker een wijk die je moet bezoeken als je een weekendje weg naar Valencia gaat. De gekleurde gebouwen zien er heel tof uit is daarom zeker Instagram proof! Omdat wij Nederlanders over het algemeen van fietsen houden, kun je in Valencia ook op veel plekken fietsen huren. Alles is op fietsafstand te doen. Passion Bikes is een Nederlandse winkel in Ciutat Vella waar je goedkoop je fiets kunt huren. De stad staat er sowieso ook om bekend dat er veel Nederlanders naartoe gaan, leuk toch?!

Paella, Paella en nog eens Paella

Misschien weet je al waarover ik het ga hebben. Valencia is de perfecte stad om paella te eten. Het recept komt hier ook origineel vandaan. Vlakbij het strand van Playa Malvarossa heb je allemaal lekkere eettenten en restaurants met meer dan tien verschillende soorten paella. Van zeevruchten, tot vegetarisch tot vleesgerechten, noem maar op. Je kunt in Valencia eigenlijk naast paella van alles eten. Als je bijvoorbeeld van Italiaans houdt dan zijn er genoeg restaurants waar je lekker spaghetti kunt eten. En als je in de ochtend een keertje trek en zin hebt in een vers stokbrood, dan zijn er ook veel bakkers waar je dat kunt halen!

Andere Leuke Tips:
- Jardin Del Turia is een heel groot park, ideaal om te wandelen, fietsen of te relaxen.
- Een bezoek brengen aan Ciutat de Las Artes y Ciencias, waar je o.a. een muziekzaal, aquarium, en een museum kunt vinden.
-Als je van kleine authentieke winkeltjes houdt, dan is Barrio del Carmen zeker de moeite waard!

Je kunt boffen met het weer als je rond december/januari gaat. Het is sowieso warmer dan in Nederland, dus dat is in ieder geval een pré. Kortom, als je van lekker eten houdt, niet zo ver wilt reizen, van stad en strand wil genieten en het niet super koud wilt hebben, dan is Valencia misschien wel de perfecte stad voor jou!
